On July 25, 2024, the Song L DM-i, a pioneering model on the BYD Dynasty website, made its grand debut. This new masterpiece embodies the latest interior and exterior design aesthetics of the Dynasty series and boasts BYD's state-of-the-art fifth-generation DM hybrid technology.

 

When it comes to aesthetics, the Song L DM-i showcases the newest family-style design. The front features a sophisticated look reminiscent of the Qin LDM-i, highlighted by sleek, narrow headlights connected by elegant silver panels. Beneath the polygonal air intake grille lies a stylish lattice-style silver trim, complemented by lateral air intakes. The trapezoidal air intakes and silver accents amplify its front perimeter's allure.

The side profile of the Song L DM-i maintains a refined simplicity, with pronounced wheel arches at the front and rear. The B/C pillars are painted black, and the upper window frame extending to the D-pillar is adorned with silver detailing. Additional features include hidden door handles and privacy glass on the rear windows. The rear end is distinguished by a continuous light strip and an illuminated BYD logo, with the lamp chamber showcasing a unique 'Chinese knot' design. The roof flaunts a two-stage spoiler, while the rear bumper is elegantly painted in black and silver. Dimensionally, the vehicle measures 4780/1898/1670 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2782 mm.
 

Inside, the Song L DM-i mirrors the design ethos of the Qin LDM-i, featuring a seamless high-gloss black trim and a large full-LCD instrument panel in front of the driver. The 112km variant comes with a 12.8-inch adaptive suspension center control screen, while the 160km model boasts a 15.6-inch screen.

It also includes automatic emergency braking, collision alerts, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warnings, and lane keeping assistance. Additionally, this model incorporates driver facial recognition, an instrument road environment simulation display, driver fatigue/distraction monitoring, a 31-color ambient lighting system, heated steering wheel, 8-way electric adjustment for the driver's seat, 4-way electric adjustment for the passenger seat, front seat heating/ventilation, 50-watt wireless phone charging, and an electric rear door.
